My practice specializes in helping adults aged 21-44 who struggle with Anxiety and/or Adjustment Issues ditch their anxiety and navigate stressful life changes with more confidence. I’m also a CBT therapist and primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to improve overall mood and coping.

Living with anxiety is stressful.

The daily struggle is real. You go about your daily routine putting on a happy face to the world, all while battling negative intrusive thoughts. The constant overthinking and analyzing is exhausting. You’re always convinced something bad will happen or worried someone is upset with you.  On the outside you look like you’ve got it all together, but on the inside you find yourself crumbling.  No one knows how badly you’re struggling because you hide it well.

Early adulthood is also stressful.

Your early 20’s to early 40’s are often fast-paced and full of major life changes, which can be difficult to adjust to. Even positive life events like getting married, having a baby, or buying your first home can feel stressful and overwhelming. Enduring any type of new life change can disrupt your sense of normalcy, and routine, and create a sense of uncertainty about yourself and the future.  Sometimes you just feel stuck and have no idea how to cope or move forward.

Let’s face it, life can be hard. Really hard.

Maybe you’re…
  • A young adult having a hard time adjusting to life after college, including all the new responsibilities and decisions that you’re now faced with. You miss your old friends and the carefree days of college. Work is hard and dating feels complicated. Your self-confidence has taken a hit, and you find yourself second-guessing your choices and doubting your capabilities.
  • Struggling to move forward after a breakup with your partner or the deterioration of a longstanding relationship. Your identity is so tied to this person that it feels like you have no idea who you are without them. You feel lost, alone, and anxious about the future. Many days you just want to cry. Your friends and family try their best to help but you really just need a neutral person to talk things through with.
  • Feeling tired of anxiety dictating every aspect of your life. Ruminating on worst-case scenarios and “what if”-ing has become your full-time job. You cancel plans because of your anxiety and then feel guilty afterward. It’s impossible to shut your brain off and relax even when you have downtime. The Sunday scaries is a weekly thing. Many days you wake up dreading the day ahead and wondering how you’ll ever make it through.

I hear you. I can help.

In therapy we’ll do more than “just talk”.

You’ll learn to manage anxiety and adjust to change in healthier ways. You’ll have a safe space with an objective sounding board to process all that’s been on your mind without fear of judgement.  We’ll take a holistic approach to wellness and combine evidence-based therapies alongside coping strategies, lifestyle changes, and self-care routines to treat anxiety from all angles.

Together, we’ll use evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge negative patterns of thinking that hold you back from the life you desire. You’ll learn grounding skills to help keep your mind rooted in the present moment so you stop missing out on life. You’ll learn relaxation techniques to quell waves of anxiety and keep your body feeling calm.

During your time in therapy you’ll finally be able to ditch your people pleasing behaviors, set boundaries for your relationships, communicate more assertively, and prioritize yourself.  You’ll gain self-confidence and a deeper understanding of yourself.

You can feel better. Better days are ahead.

You deserve to live a happy and peaceful life without the weight of anxiety holding you back.  You deserve to feel calm, confident, and capable. You not only deserve this, but it is possible.

If you’re ready to start changing your life, I’d love to help get you there. Please reach out if you think we could be a good fit!

Have you been to therapy before?

If no, welcome! I understand that searching for a therapist can be an overwhelming process. With so many therapists out there, how do you know who to choose? That’s not an easy question to answer. However, you landed here for a reason. Something about my page may have connected with you, and that’s certainly a good place to start.

If yes, how was your past experience? Did you experience the change you wanted to see? If not, perhaps you haven’t yet connected with a therapist who was the right fit for you. Or maybe you felt like you didn’t receive enough tools and coping strategies to be successful after therapy ended. Either way, consider giving therapy another chance. Your next experience could be very different.

Maybe you’re a seasoned therapy goer who feels stuck in your current therapy, and is looking for a fresh perspective and new approach.  Or maybe you’ve never been to therapy before and have no idea what you need or where to start.  Either way, I’m happy to help!  Please read more About Me to see if you think we’d be a good fit!
